Scope of this disclosureThis disclosure covers the Spring Program (February 2027), which Eigo Pro LLC sells. What we provide is an educational program; accommodation and local transport are components included in that program. The Summer Program (August 2026) is UC San Diego's program; Eigo Pro acts only as the Japan-side application contact. See the "About the Summer Program (August 2026)" row at the end of this table.
Program name and contentFuture Global Leaders (FGL) Spring Program 2027 - 3-week course: February 7-27, 2027 (includes the intensive English seminar week, February 8-12) - 2-week course: February 14-27, 2027 (a separate cohort for University of Tokyo students) An educational program built around graduate-level lectures and small-group seminars taught by faculty of the UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS), combined with field trips and extracurricular activities.
Program feeSpring Program fee (per person) - 3-week course: USD 4,985 (includes the JPY 43,400 application fee) - 2-week course: USD 4,150 (includes the JPY 43,400 application fee) Japanese consumption tax does not apply (out-of-scope for JCT — services provided outside Japan). Reference conversion at JPY 155/USD: approx. JPY 770,000 (3-week) and approx. JPY 640,000 (2-week). The JPY figure is a reference value only; the actual conversion rate is set on or around December 15, 2026, and the yen amount stated on the invoice issued by Eigo Pro LLC is the amount payable.
Included in the program feeThe Spring Program fee includes: Graduate-level lectures and seminars taught by UC San Diego GPS faculty; accommodation at the Residence Inn by Marriott San Diego La Jolla with breakfast each morning; airport transfers and local transport during the program; field trips to companies and research institutions; extracurricular activities; course materials; 24-hour Japanese/English support while on site; and a certificate of completion.
Not included / additional costsThe Spring Program fee does not include: Round-trip airfare between Japan and San Diego (participants purchase their own tickets), overseas travel insurance, lunch and dinner, personal transport outside the program, and personal expenses such as souvenirs and communications. Bank transfer fees are borne by the participant.
Payment methodBank transfer in Japanese yen against an invoice issued by Eigo Pro LLC. Account details are stated on the invoice. No other payment method (credit card, etc.) is accepted.
Payment timing- Application fee of JPY 43,400: due by the date stated on the invoice issued by Eigo Pro LLC after your application. It is applied toward the Spring Program fee. - Balance of the program fee: due by January 10, 2027.
Service provision periodThe Spring Program runs on the following dates: - 3-week course: February 7-27, 2027 - 2-week course: February 14-27, 2027 Detailed schedules are provided after your application is accepted.
How to apply / application deadlineApply through the application page on this site (https://fgl.academy/apply). The application deadline is December 15, 2026. Chuo University students also apply through the application page on this site themselves, not through their university (the Chuo application window is September 1–8, 2026). Only University of Tokyo students apply through their own university's internal process.
Cancellation and refund termsCancellation of the Spring Program is handled as follows: - Up to 45 days before the program start date: the program fee is refunded in full, less the JPY 43,400 application fee per person. - Less than 45 days before the program start date: the program fee is not refundable. The JPY 43,400 application fee is non-refundable once transferred. Exception: if a participant is not a Japanese national and is unable to obtain a visa, the application fee is refunded provided the request is made at least 14 days before the program start date. If the program itself is cancelled, all monies including the application fee are refunded. To keep the program's price structure sustainable, apart from the exceptions provided above, these terms are applied strictly. This service is a mail-order sale (通信販売), so the statutory cooling-off right does not apply; the terms in this row govern cancellations and refunds.
Non-performance / program cancellationEigo Pro LLC may cancel the program if the number of participants is insufficient or if unforeseen circumstances prevent it from being held. In that case the full amount paid, including the application fee, is refunded. If the service is not provided due to causes attributable to Eigo Pro LLC, the full amount paid, including the application fee, will be refunded, or an alternative service will be offered. Eigo Pro LLC is not responsible for additional costs a participant incurs in connection with their own travel, such as flight delays or cancellations, illness, non-refundable air tickets, or penalties arising from changing or cancelling tickets.
About the Summer Program (August 2026)The Summer Program (August 9-22, 2026; applications are now closed) is UC San Diego's program. UC San Diego sets the fee and issues the invoice. Eigo Pro LLC acts only as the Japan-side application contact and is not the seller of that program. - Fee: USD 3,470 (USD 75 application fee + USD 1,400 program fee + USD 1,995 housing and meals) - Included: UC San Diego GPS lectures, on-campus dormitory housing, three meals a day at the campus dining halls, field trips, on-site support from UC San Diego staff (in English), Japanese-language support from FGL during Japan business hours, course materials, and a certificate of completion - Not included: round-trip airfare between Japan and San Diego, overseas travel insurance, personal transport outside the program, and other personal expenses - Cancellation, refunds, and related inquiries: contact Greg Mallinger at UC San Diego GLI (Global Leadership Institute), [email protected]
Other notesProgram content and dates may change due to unavoidable circumstances. If a material change occurs, applicants will be notified promptly.
