Is San Diego safe?
San Diego is known as one of the safer cities in the US, and the campus sits in the upscale La Jolla neighborhood. During the Spring program, the Residence Inn by Marriott where students stay has a 24-hour front desk, and in an emergency you can reach Jacob directly on LINE at any hour. We contact parents within 2 hours of any incident. If needed, we arrange transport to Scripps Memorial Hospital (5 minutes from campus by car). Please ask us anything you're unsure about before departure.

A. Basic English skills are sufficient. Japanese-speaking support staff are always available, and pre/post lecture seminars help reinforce understanding.

A. Since 2009, we have had no incidents requiring hospitalization and no life-threatening events. A Japanese-speaking program coordinator is on-site, with 24/7 bilingual support, secure accommodation at Residence Inn by Marriott, and full medical/emergency-return support.
